DAP Technologies announces upgrades to its popular handheld computer line

DAP Technologies, the leading manufacturer of rugged mobile computing solutions and services, recently expanded its Microflex CE8640 series product range with the introduction of the CE8640X. The new unit now includes increased memory capacity (128 MB), a USB host for external link integration, and is equipped with an Intel XScale PXA 255 400 MHz processor.

Our customers have requested these upgrades and DAP Technologies has responded, said Michael Gioseffi, General Manager, DAP Technologies. Were especially pleased to offer this new and improved model at exactly the same price as our existing unit.

The new CE8640X, as with the existing CE8640, runs the latest Windows CE .NET operating system from Microsoft and is wireless-ready and Web-enabled. Its internal modem, Ethernet connectivity and WiFi, Bluetooth and WAN capability provide anywhere, anytime access to critical information. The units large keyboard makes on-site data-entry very easy, even with gloves. Data-transfer ability reduces the need to duplicate work, increasing employee productivity.

The new Microflex CE8640X will be the same price as the original Microflex CE8640, which will remain on the market.
