Two Technologies, Inc., an ISO9001 registered company and leading manufacturer of customizable rugged hand-held terminal and computer products, is pleased to announce that its JETTce and JETTRFID line of hand-held computers are now available tested to an IP65 rating.
The ingress protection (IP) rating, defined by the International Electrotechnical Commission in publication IEC 529, is a two digit, standardized scale that indicates the extent to which equipment is protected against the invasion of dust and water. The first number of the rating indicates the degree of protection from solids and the second against liquids. The higher the number, the more protected the equipment is.
An IP65 rating means that both the JETTce and the JETTRFID are completely dust-tight and can withstand exposure to jets of water. We have subjected the JETTce and JETTRFID to the most rigorous and extreme test environments, said Russ Maynard, Vice President of Applications Development. By achieving the IP65 rating, we are demonstrating Two Technologies commitment to delivering robust, affordable hand-held computers to our customers.
