Maxatec announces its entry into the RFID Market with the brand new Advantage LX from Cognitive.

The new AdvantageLX RFID printers can print barcodes labels or tags and/or write data to RFID tags. RFID is emerging as a new and complementary technology, these new printers will allow customers to print traditional bar codes and to introduce new RFID technology in parallel to get the best of both Auto-ID worlds..

The introduction of RFID tracking allows companies to speed up the acquisition of data by eliminating the need for line-of-sight scanning. RFID tags can be re-programmed or re-written and whereas bar codes can only identify a manufacturer and product type, RFID tags can identify each unique item.

AdvantageLX RFID printers are extremely flexible and can be integrated into either host, network, standalone keyboard or scanner input device systems.

Cognitive have ensured that their read/write RFID modules are compact enough to be integrated into the rugged chassis of the AdvantageLX printer so customers can now have the benefits of RFID technology in a compact printer with extremely small footprint.

Both products are built on the AdvantageLX chassis with the RFID technology incorporated into the product without sacrificing price, performance, reliability and ergonomics.
