TNS SIGNS 4M DEAL TO CREATE SECURE CHANNEL OPPORTUNITY

Total Network Solutions (TNS) and channel support services company AB&C have signed a deal that will provide current and prospective channel partners with the opportunity to resell TNS's white-label unified security services with the benefits of no up-front investment. The deal, worth an estimated 4m this year, is available to resellers immediately and will also ensure that VARs get full payment at the point they sign with customers.

TNS's unified security offering can provide firewall, antivirus, grayware, IDS & IPS all in a fully managed package and can be tailored to a user's exact requirements. The services are delivered to ISO9001 and can be fully branded by resellers. Users will also benefit from reduced costs and the simplicity of a plug-and-go `turnkey' solution.

The tie up with AB&C allows TNS to offer its channel partners the ability to spread the costs of their services to end users whilst still enjoying immediate up-front payment. This gives its resellers the double-edged sword of a significant marketing edge as well as the security of immediate `on signing' payment.

TNS's Darren Brownfield is excited about the prospects for resellers: "We naturally believe that our product delivers exceptional performance and value to users as well as great opportunities for our partners," he says.

"The AB&C deal now also allows us to offer the flexibilities to beat end user budget issues. Resellers operating in the public sector will benefit too as it is an `op-ex' solution."

AB&C's vendor accounts manager Nikki Chesson added: "TNS wanted to offer simple turnkey solutions that were easy to sell and highly `brandable' for their dealers. They also wanted to be able to offer an op-ex service rather than sell kit. Our Delivery product allows them and their resellers to achieve all this in a financially secure way."

TNS are currently looking to recruit forward thinking dealers who are moving into security services and want to push their own brand.
