MACROMEDIA RICH INTERNET EMBEDDED IN STRAKER CMS

A new licensing agreement is enabling Macromedia Flex Rich Internet Application development and ColdFusion MX 7 Enterprise solutions to be embedded in the Straker Shado Content Management System (CMS).

Shado will be the first ColdFusion-based CMS to incorporate Macromedia Flex and CFMX capabilities. This is a very exciting agreement that will enable Straker to offer package deals to customers for multiple and single servers, said Tim Jenkins, CEO, Straker Interactive (UK). We can now substantially reduce the cost of developing multiple Web applications, including Rich Internet Applications that enhance Web site user experiences.

Shado is an out-of-the-box CMS that is the hub of a comprehensive, feature-rich suite of Web-based applications that enables portals, e-booking, e-commerce, e-forms, Rich Internet Applications and document management. We have taken Macromedias flagship enterprise products and combined them with Shado to create a powerful solution that provides measurable performance benefits and a greater return on investment for our customers, added Jenkins.

Macromedia Flex represents an evolution in Rich Internet Application development, enabling enterprise developers to deliver Rich Internet Applications using existing tools, design patterns, and infrastructure. Macromedia ColdFusion MX 7 Enterprise is the solution for delivering multiple websites and applications on one or more servers. It includes special features for managing multi-application environments enabling highly scalable, reliable implementations of important business applications.

Straker Shado solutions are benefiting over 300 organisations worldwide in areas including education, public sector, travel and leisure, retail and healthcare.
