Elan has just launched a useful list of over 100 PC and CF cards that have been tested and work successfully with their high quality P-Series range of adapters for Desktop PCs and Low Profile PCs.
The cards on this list range from 3G cards such as ones from Option, Novatel and Sierra Wireless, as well as a wide range of Wireless LAN cards which include Cisco and Enterasys cards among many others, as well as SRAM memory cards. Smart Media and Memory Stick camera cards are also listed, as well as more specialist cards such as DAQ, Comms and Audio cards, not to mention Elan's own range of PCMCIA and CF Comms and specialist DAQ cards.
Some of the main 3G datacard suppliers recommend the Elan P Series adapters for wireless desktop communications, and as a result of this growing market there has been a surge in sales. Users of 802.11A, B and G have been able to change to each new standard seamlessly, without needing to change the hardware, and the adapters are designed to cope with the new Pre-N cards for the emerging 802.11N standard, making the P-Series truly future-proof .
