Konica Minolta wins BERTL Gold Award

Konica Minolta has won the BERTL (Business Equipment Research and Test Laboratories Inc) Gold Award for Colour Reliability in the BERTL Readers Choice Awards.

Throughout the last year, BERTL conducted an industry-wide survey covering 23 manufacturers copier, printer and MFP performances across a range of different areas. Responses were received from enterprise buyers and technical professionals in 47 countries, responsible for managing over 175,000 devices in total. BERTL asked about the most important issues affecting these buyers digital imaging equipment purchase decisions, such as ease of use, productivity, reliability, service and support, image quality and pricing.

A major difference between a BERTL Readers Choice Award and those given by some other publications is that a BERTL Readers Choice Award recognises the manufacturer, instead of individual products, for overall excellence across the companys product line.

In announcing the Gold Award to Konica Minolta for Colour Reliability BERTL stated, While Konica Minolta is a relative newcomer to the colour market, the manufacturer has already established a strong reputation among users for reliability.

For Konica Minolta, John Howard, Head of Marketing in the UK says, This is a terrific shot in the arm for the company at the start of 2005. To win such a prestigious international award so soon after the merger of the two companies forming Konica Minolta shows that we have got our act together and we are now moving forward in the market place providing our customers with products and service of the highest calibre.
