New multifunctional copying and printing systems from Develop

DEVELOP D 13F combines economical versatility with reassuring document security
Lawyers, doctors, tax advisors, consultants more and more professionals are now aware of the increasing importance of document security. But until recently, multifunctional machines designed for small offices have focused on the functions of printing, faxing, scanning and copying with little attention paid to security features. The DEVELOP D 13F is different. This 13-ppm device combines economical 4-in-1 functionality with security features previously unavailable in machines of this size.

Document security
Some faxes are confidential. To ensure only the intended recipient can read them, the D 13F allows reception to be restricted by means of a four-digit security code a feature that can be programmed to function at specific times. If sensitive documents have to be scanned, the file can be stored in any of 20 secure scan boxes where access is restricted to the password holder. And on the equally sensitive issue of the cost of printing, faxing, etc. the D 13F has an elegantly secure solution. Up to 100 cost centres can be set up and protected by a four-digit security code to restrict use to authorised users from a specific cost centre. This stops abuse and helps control costs.

Economic versatility
The D 13F takes the old adage of time is money very seriously with a number of time-saving features such as 40 one-touch fax buttons, 160 speed-dial numbers and 32 call groups. Frequent refills of paper or toner can also waste a lot of time. Here, the D 13F has an unparalleled paper capacity of up to 1,050 sheets, a 75-page automatic document feeder (ADF) and an economical, long-lasting toner. In offices where documents frequently have to be faxed abroad, the optional Internet faxing (iFax) facility will also cut the phone bill. But the D 13F isnt just a simple money-saver. As a scanner, it offers both pull (TWAIN) scanning from a PC and push scanning from the machine to any of 20 secure scan boxes. If the optional network card is installed, the TWAIN scan feature also allows networked workgroup users to pull scans to their PCs. Last but not least, the D 13F scans to a PC in colour another feature not unusually found in a device of this size.

Secure versatility
In launching the D 13F, DEVELOP has struck a balance between the often conflicting demands of economy, versatility and security. Its 4-in-1 functionality and document security features make it an interesting option for any small office, and especially those dealing with sensitive documents.
