Arkeia Grows UK presence with appointment of distributor Interactive Ideas

Arkeia Corporation, the leading provider of backup and recovery solutions for Linux-based environments, announced today the appointment of Interactive Ideas as its UK distributor. Interactive Ideas play a dominant role in the distribution of software products in the Linux environment. This agreement further strengthens Arkeia's position in the Linux market, whilst demonstrating its commitment to building its UK channel distribution.

Interactive Ideas will provide Arkeia's comprehensive suite of backup solutions across heterogeneous environments including Arkeia Network Backup, Arkeia Server Backup and Disaster Recovery modules. Interactive Ideas has established itself in the Linux environment with a strong network of VARs and resellers. Its offering includes products from Redhat, Novell SUSE, Sybase, Acronis and VMware. Through the partnership, Interactive Ideas will extend their business model and position itself as a complete provider of enterprise Linux solutions, whilst building on both the Arkeia and Interactive Ideas LinuxVAR.co.uk brands.

This partnership is indicative of the growth and strong presence Arkeia has developed in mid-size organisations and departments, particularly in vertical segments such as education, ISPs and government. Arkeia is committed to support and educate its channel through a dedicated partner programme, including a comprehensive training scheme.
