MCL Technologies today announced the release of MCL-Collection for Symbol Technologies MC3000 mobile computer. Mutual customers can now benefit from the power and flexibility of MCL-Collection integrated with the high performance of the MC3000. MCL-Collection is a sophisticated software suite to create, integrate, and deploy enterprise, mobile worker applications. MCL-Collection seamlessly combines all the latest technologies with mobile computer cross-platform compatibility.

MCL-Collections high productivity development environment creates applications that integrate mobile computing and wireless communications, and gives simultaneous access to such data capture technologies as barcode scanners, touch screens, keyboards, signature capture, imagers, radio frequency identification, displays, printers, and voice recognition.

Many key benefits are derived from MCL-Collections flexible deployment architecture. MCL-Collection provides modular components for organizations to customize host access, scale networks, and deploy communication modes to suit business needs. For example, MCL-Collection includes a series of bridges that give mobile computers easy concurrent access to host applications, ODBC compliant databases, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. Its network servers manage scalable deployments from 1 to 62,500 concurrent mobile computers per server yielding environments that are efficient for small system deployments, yet also powerful and optimized for large distributed system deployments. MCL-Collections flexible architecture also allows for real-time wireless or batch data communications for continuously or casually connected users.

MCL-Collection provides the framework that allows customers and Systems Integrators to focus on functional business issues, and not on implementation issues or constantly changing low-level technologies such as operating systems, wireless infrastructures, and data capture methods. High performance software for a high performance mobile computer its a winning combination, said Jean-Franois Jacques, Managing Director, MCL Technologies. Customers can now reap the benefits of combining MCL Collections great flexibility, cross-platform compatibility and forward migration paths with this powerful new unit.
