Muratec and UNITER Group win prestigious Business Equipment Digest Excellence Award

Muratec, the multifunction specialist company, in partnership with the Uniter Group, has won the Mission Critical Award category of the Business Equipment Digest Excellence Awards for 2004. The award plaque was presented to Jonathan Whitworth, Sales and Marketing Director for Muratec (UK) Ltd and Carlo Jawed, Managing Director of the Uniter Group by Eric Fordham, Editor of Business Equipment Digest at the awards ceremony held in London recently.

The award was given in recognition of a recent order for 400 Muratec F320 fax machines to handle all inter-branch fax communication for a major high street banking groups branch network throughout the United Kingdom. This versatile unit is designed for critical business applications and can fax, scan, print and distribute documents simultaneously. As well as being economical to own and operate, the F320 can expand from a powerful multi-functional machine into a complete network printing and digital connectivity solution.

A major part of the partnerships success in winning the contract was due to Muratecs compelling Total Cost of Ownership sales policy making the operating costs of for Muratec fax and multifunctional systems amongst the most competitive in the market. For major corporate enterprise customers, such as high street banks, TCO is a critical factor in cost management. The effectiveness of the TCO argument means Muratecs roll call of corporate enterprise customers now reads like a whos who of British business.

The BED Excellence Awards are well respected and long established in the IT industry. The magazine itself was founded in 1962 and currently has an ABC audited circulation of over 20,000 copies.
