TOSHIBA TEC Europe, the leading manufacturer of retail and industrial information systems, has been selected as the single preferred POS partner for Compass Group in Europe, Compass Group plc. By centralising the vendor selection process for its Point-Of-Sale equipment in Europe, the Swiss-based purchasing arm of Compass Group, Sevita, will be able to reduce costs and improve services.
Compass Group, with a worldwide turnover of over 16 billion EUR, provides quality food services for customers at a wide range of locations. The four-year contract, valued at 9 million EUR, involves the replacement of over 1,000 POS systems a year. Compass new POS terminals will be acquired through TOSHIBA TEC Europes extensive dealer network.
TOSHIBA TECs extensive distribution support network and the advanced technology of its POS products were instrumental in the final decision. TOSHIBA TECs powerful new POS technology will help Compass Group to create new levels of business efficiency and customer satisfaction.
The Document Processing and Telecommunication Systems Company of TOSHIBA TEC Corporation will team up as the single preferred supplier to Compass Group operating companies in Europe guaranteeing synergy benefits for the Group's European operations.
