ScanSource Europe, a leading value-added distributor of AIDC and EPoS products, has signed an agreement with MCL Technologies, a provider of software development tools for generation and communication management of applications in the AIDC (automatic identification and data capture) business.
Through this agreement ScanSource will distribute the full MCL collection, which consists of MCL-Designer, MCL-Link, MCL-Net, MCL-Client and MCL-Bridge. The MCL-Collection is a suite of software tools that enable resellers to quickly and easily design, simulate, document, deploy, communicate and run single or multiple data collection applications for a growing number of MCL-Enabled Devices.
The MCL-Collection complements many of the terminals and printers ScanSource distributes, including Datalogic, Datamax, HHP, Intermec and Symbol.
MCLs products allow our reseller customers to strengthen their Auto ID offering by delivering enhanced design, communication and performance, said Xavier Cartiaux, managing director, ScanSource Europe. MCL works seamlessly with many of our vendors products, ensuring a quality solution for our resellers.
-MCL-Designer is a rapid Auto ID application development tool, allowing for variations in modes of communication for each transmission based on specific requirements.
-MCL-Link provides support for wired communication via serial cable or modem and simple point-to-point Ethernet between the MCL device and host PC. MCL-Link reduces the connection time between the device and host PC.
-MCL-Net is a communication program for wireless or Ethernet exchange of files or data records. MCL-Net acts as the go between ensuring that information passes between the MCL device and host system.
