What do Cherie Blair's friend, Carole Caplin and Version One's Tony Bray, have in common?

The answer: both are committed to promoting Green Environmental issues. Carole Caplin discussed these issues at the recent Green Apple Environment Awards at the House of Commons with the National Gold Award winner, Tony Bray of document management and imaging software company, Version One.

Carole is very misunderstood,"Tony Bray said, as he heard about the involvement of Cherie Blair's former style guru in a number of environmental initiatives. When it comes to Green Environmental issues, Carole and I have a great deal in common: our paperless office software technology dramatically reduces consumption of paper, energy, time and money for thousands of organisations and Carol has a mission to promote environmental awareness."

With the number of entries this year almost doubling to around 1,000 entries, Version One is the National Gold Award Winner in the 2004 Green Apple Awards, the annual international campaign, which recognises and promotes environmental best practice around the world. Winning in the Science and Technology category, Version Ones paperless office technology electronically archives and retrieves all business documents within an enterprise, totally eliminating the need for paper.

Tony Bray, Director of Version One, concluded, "Were delighted to be a winner in the Green Apple Awards for the second consecutive year. More and more organisations, including many government bodies and NHS Trusts, are now realising the tremendous business benefits which our range of document management and imaging solutions can offer, when seamlessly integrated to their existing accounting software."
