Imation has today announced its new pan-European network storage promotion for resellers and network end-users, called the "Data Elite Collection". Each reseller that encourages end-users to purchase promotional packs of five storage tapes - (DLT IV, SuperDLT, LTO Ultrium 1 and LTO Ultrium 2 and the forthcoming LTO Ultrium 3), will be able to collect points from every sale and then exchange them for various gifts.
Each time end-users enter the website to collect points they have to state the reseller they purchased their media from and points are automatically allocated. Gifts include wide screen TVs, Hi-Fis, Gucci sunglasses, camcorders, polo shirts, DVD players and X-boxes.
Resellers will also be in with a chance of winning a fantastic four night stay in the five star Mondrion hotel on Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles which will be awarded to the reseller that has sold to the largest range of end-users. The prize also includes a trip to Universal Studios and a once in a lifetime opportunity to attend the 'MTV at the Movies' award ceremony, sponsored by Imation, in Hollywood and VIP access to "A night with the stars".
Resellers can also encourage end-users to purchase more media because the winning reseller will be able to select an end-user who will also win two tickets for the Hollywood trip.
Participating resellers will be asked to register their own personal page with a password and PIN and are then able to monitor points each time they log on. Registered resellers will also receive monthly account balance updates. "Data Elite Collection" will be running to the 31st March 2004 to give customers the opportunity to collect as many prizes as possible.
