Printronix, the leading manufacturer of integrated enterprise printing solutions for the supply chain, today announced that Oracle has joined its radio frequency identification (RFID) Smart Partner Programme for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). This announcement follows the launch of the RFID partner programme last month. Oracle joins Manhattan Associates and MARC Global as Pan-European Printronix RFID Smart Partners.
Oracle is a certified Printronix Full RFID Integrator partner and is authorised to resell and provide support to end-users for all Printronix RFID products and thermal printing solutions. In becoming a Printronix partner, Oracle will use its RFID expertise to install and integrate RFID hardware with the existing systems of its enterprise customers.
"Oracle's expertise in data and business process management will enable companies to better manage the data flow from items tagged with RFID," said Claus Hinge, vice president, sales and marketing, Printronix EMEA. "Companies who are considering deploying RFID must integrate their back-end systems to ensure the highest quality and reliability of the data."
"Customers looking at starting RFID pilots now need the right tools, including Smart Label printers", said Edwin Kalischnig, RFID Business Development Manager, Oracle Europe, Middle East and Africa. "By becoming a certified Printronix RFID partner, we can integrate Printronix RFID printing solutions with other back-end systems and enable businesses in EMEA to start deploying RFID in their supply chains. Printronix has demonstrated that they are the leading company in the development and deployment of RFID printing solutions. The combination of that with our expertise in integrating RFID solutions makes this a partnership which will bring clear benefit to our customers."
