Radix Announces New Applications Developed For The FW700

Radix is pleased to announce that long-standing partner, Computer Network, Inc. of Cullman, Alabama is developing new utility-oriented software applications for the FW700 Handheld. These new applications are focussed toward the needs of utilities and are practical world-wide. Using the FW700 platform, Computer Network, Inc. has introduced software for the management of propane, both on an individual customer level and for tracking company inventory.

Utilizing a graphical user interface and the touch screen capability of the FW700, this software schedules and tracks deliveries, updates the billing software and tracks tank levels for inventory purposes. In addition, Computer Network, Inc. is incorporating their long-standing direct interface that combines Radix handhelds and their UMS2000 Utility Management software into the new FW700 platform. Finally, Computer Network, Inc. is in the latter stages of development of a new software application utilizing the FW700, to receive and complete service orders which can then update customer and meter information automatically to their UMS2000 Utility Management System, or other existing utility billing systems.
