DECRU EXPANDS ITS EUROPEAN OPERATIONS...

Decru, the leader in networked storage security, today announced the opening of its Central European office in Munich and the appointment of Jan Nordh as Sales Director, Central Europe. Nordh, previously Sales Business Manager for Storage Networking at Cisco Systems GmbH, will be responsible for developing Decru's relationships with key storage and security partners in Central Europe. Prior to Cisco, Nordh spent four years as Regional Sales Manager for Brocade where he spearheaded the company's channel development across the EMEA region. "European organisations have realised that investing more in network security doesn't answer the more critical need of securing stored data," said Joanna Shields, Decru's Managing Director for EMEA. "The addition of Jan Nordh to our team will enable us to deliver Central European governments and enterprises end-to-end storage security solutions." "Storage and Security go hand in hand," said Nordh, "but most organisations are wary about buying solutions that protect only part of their storage network. Decru is the only company that offers military-grade protection for all storage environments and I am thrilled to join its executive team." "Storage security today is a 'must' for any enterprise that considers itself serious," says Norbert Deuschle, Chairman of the German Storage Consortium, "Every replication of critical data introduces additional security risks and the only way to manage these risks is to secure data at the core." Decru DataFort(tm) storage security appliances combine secure access controls, authentication, storage encryption, and secure logging to provide military-grade protection for stored data. By locking down stored data with strong encryption and routing all access through secure hardware, DataFort radically simplifies the security model for networked storage. Decru DataFort appliances can be deployed transparently in SAN, NAS, DAS and tape backup environments, with no changes to servers, desktops, applications, or user workflow.
