Synapse2 has announced its appointment as the sole UK distributor for Intradyn Inc and its range of storage and archiving products, including RocketVault, a stand-alone archive, backup, compliance and disaster recovery appliance for small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Synapse2 is recruiting resellers throughout the UK to introduce the RocketVault disk-based back up and archiving appliance to the SME market.

Incorporating a range of back up and storage options, including off-site back up capabilities, the RocketVault appliance allows Synapse2 to offer UK resellers the opportunity to provide end-customers with a managed storage solution. Resellers are able to realise significant margins and can also bundle the service with other offerings, thereby gaining new, lucrative sources of recurring revenue.

Colin Sheard, CEO of Synapse2 said, "We are very excited to be bringing Intradyn's data protection appliances to the UK. For too long people have been discussing how to back up their data in a secure, cost effective way and no one has been able to provide a solution. We believe that RocketVault is clearly the answer for UK companies and presents the channel with a major opportunity to easily add new revenue streams to their offering."

Businesses of all sizes, including SMEs, are under growing pressure to implement secure storage and disaster recovery solutions to ensure the protection of vital information assets and comply with industry regulations governing the use and storage of data. The RocketVault appliance provides SMEs with a cost-effective, fast and reliable method for archiving mission critical data.

Using the latest disk back up and archiving technology, the RocketVault appliance is faster and more reliable in backing up and restoring data than tape-based storage solutions, which are onerous to use and suffer from high rates of failure.

Synapse2 resellers have access to the complete range of Intradyn products, including RocketVault, and the BackAgain software. The Synapse2 reseller programme offers a full accreditation scheme together with sales support, sales incentives and technical support and training.

Colin Sheard, CEO of Synapse2 said, "While data volumes have grown exponentially, the security, storage and disaster recovery requirements of today's businesses have grown with it. Rather than managing their infrastructure in-house, an increasing number of end-customers are opting to hand over the management headache of their storage and security to managed service providers. With the Synapse2 hosting facility, resellers partnering with us around the RocketVault offering, are able to profit from this lucrative market, by moving up the customer value chain into the area of managed services."

Synapse2, a service division of Synapse Consulting, is a new breed of IT channel partner, focusing on the provision of innovate IT products in combination with enterprise-class managed services. Resellers that partner with Synapse2 benefit from its industry leading portfolio of products and range of managed services, which allow resellers to offer end-customers value-added services, while additional sources of revenue are passed to the reseller.
