Business Engine Launches Strategic Reseller Programme

Business Engine, a leader in IT project portfolio management (PPM) software solutions, has launched its EMEA reseller programme with the signing of three leading distributors and value-added resellers to expand its sales reach across Europe.  The signing of 12 Plan GmbH, Applisoft AG, and Project Vision, signals Business Engine's continued success in the EMEA market.  These partnerships permit sales of Business Engine's flagship application, the Business Engine Network (BEN) direct to Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, and Norway.

The strategic resellers have all graduated from Business Engine's partner readiness certification programme, which provides 360-degree training for their new role in selling, consulting, implementing and supporting BEN solutions as stand-alone Business Engine partners.  The programme requires attendees to have worked in the project portfolio management field for a minimum of three years.  To ensure a high proficiency level, all consultants need to obtain 960 hours hands-on implementation experience, before obtaining certification to carry out implementations.

"We are laying solid foundations for success in the EMEA region with a strategic reseller program," said Mark Strauch, managing director of Business Engine International Ltd.  "Expanding our high-quality reseller base is critical to our continued growth and ability to deliver widespread and consistent IT PPM solutions to run the business of IT. Partnering with three new strategic partners furthers our knowledge and understanding of the local markets and ensures our customers have on-hand local technical support in their regions."

12Plan, a German provider of enterprise project management solutions, successfully completed Business Engine's partner readiness certification programme, covering the whole process of analysis, implementation, training and customisation.

"Business Engine's partner readiness programme was extremely supportive, allowing our consultants to gain a deep understanding of the BEN.  Its value and key implementation techniques are crucial to the successful delivery of the product," said Thomas Henkelmann, managing director of
12 Plan.

Danish reseller, Project Vision, a provider of project portfolio management solutions, signed up to Business Engine's reseller programme, as its customers required a product that had embedded financial management tools to control the conversion and transfer of project based financial data throughout the life-cycle of their projects.

"Following careful evaluation of the project portfolio market, we found the BEN's financial management tools to be extremely robust and provided second to none integration facilities with key financial systems, such as SAP," said Bo Twile Bertelsen, managing director at ProjectVision. "Combined with its flexible user-friendly digital dashboard and out-of-the-box reporting capabilities, we can now offer our customers a solution that is easy to manage and one that supports their existing financial systems."

Applisoft AG, provider of software development, IT-Consulting and management consulting services to enterprises across Europe, was looking for a partner with an excellent track record in the financial services, automotive, engineering and R&D driven markets.

"Business Engine's impressive Blue Chip customer reference base signalled the BEN's ability to support global organisations with the task of managing a significant number of projects at any one time. This is a key requirement for our customers and we needed a product that has proven value within global organisations," said Hartmut von Schwiderski, board member at Applisoft.

To ensure a high level of after-sales care, strategic resellers can complete Business Engine's technical support certification programme to resolve customers' technical issues following implementation.  Technical support certification will entail a one-week hands-on training course.

These partnerships follow the recent announcement that Business Engine and Capgemini have joined forces to provide a top class PPM solution, BEN, having already netted a number of customer wins together in Europe.
