MX LOGIC ANNOUNCES VICE PRESIDENT OF CHANNEL SALES

Technology-Industry Veteran Richard J. Coons to Drive Channel Program for Leading Email Defense Provider

MX Logic, Inc., a leading provider of innovative email defense solutions that ensure email protection and security for enterprises, service providers, government organizations, and resellers and their customers, has appointed Richard J. Coons to serve as vice president of channel sales.

A technology-industry veteran with more than 20 years of sustained success at all levels of sales, marketing and business management, Coons brings to MX Logic an extensive background in driving reseller and channel programs. In his new position, Coons is responsible for developing significant partnership agreements and alliances between MX Logic and channel partners such as IT security consultants, systems integrators and value-added resellers throughout North America and Europe.

"As MX Logic continues to gain a significant foothold in our target markets, building our reseller channel represents one of our primary business strategies," said John Street, chairman and CEO, MX Logic. "With his proven track record of developing partnerships and alliances, Richard Coons will play a critical role as a member of our executive management team by growing our distribution capability to businesses worldwide through channel partnerships."

Coons' experience in driving and managing reseller and channel programs includes serving as vice president of sales and customer service for DriveOff.com/CarPoint (a division of Microsoft). In this position, Coons built business partnerships with corporations, banks, leasing companies, credit unions, retail and buying organizations, and major airlines. Within 12 months of its Web site launch, the company was sold to Microsoft CarPoint.

Coons previously co-founded CAD Distributors, and served as vice president of sales and marketing for the company, which later became GE Access. At GE Access, where Coons spent more than 12 years, he served in several key positions, including director of sales, general manager of Sun SBU, director of global strategic alliances, and director of marketing. During his tenure with the company, Coons launched and managed hundreds of product lines and recruited thousands of resellers. Under his leadership, the business maintained a 35 percent annual growth rate over a number of years.

Coons' prior experience also includes serving as vice president of partner sales for Navidec and holding senior management positions in sales and marketing with Wideforce Systems and Qualis Design Corporation.

"The expanding email defense market is being fueled by the increasing volume and maliciousness of spam and other email threats that have broadsided businesses with decreasing employee productivity, soaring IT costs and countless legal liabilities," Coons said. "MX Logic solutions present proven defense against spam, worms and other email threats, which makes the prospect of establishing channel and reseller partnerships to fight this battle an exciting opportunity for me. I look forward to contributing to MX Logic's growing market share and industry leadership."
