Dexia Ticket Shop : a ‘unique concept’ in the world of banking, thanks to the 1-2-3 Self-Ticketing solution from Zetes FasTrace

Since the beginning of this month, Dexia Bank customers have had an easy and money-saving way of buying tickets for various festivals, events and theme parks in Belgium in the self-service banking spaces and via the automatic teller machines of almost 1,000 Dexia Bank branches in Belgium that offer the Dexia Ticket Shop service.

This service, unique in the European banking world, is the fruit of a close cooperation between Dexia Bank and Zetes FasTrace, a member of the Zetes Group (Euronext Brussels : ZTS), a specialist in the electronic management of ticketing, access control and visitor tracking.

Dexia Ticket Shop offers the bank’s customers a string of advantages, such as:

  • availability: one thousand points of sale accessible 18 hours a day,
  • user-friendliness : with their debit card, customer consult the list of events, make their choice, reserve the required number of tickets, enter their PIN code for the payment and receive their tickets printed by the automatic teller machine.
  • speed : the ticket is printed immediately, so no more presale or cash point queues or long waits to receive the ticket by post,
  • security : the reservation is confirmed immediately and the ticket comes with a unique and secured barcode for access control at the entrance,
  • attractive prices : preferential rates negotiated by the bank, savings on the ticket delivery costs, minimum reservation costs.

"With this new service, our customers no longer need to queue to buy presale tickets or on the day of the show and there is no more risk of the ticket getting lost in the post when buying online", says Sonia Bourgeois, marketing manager at Axion, the club set up for Dexia Bank’s young customers, who is in charge of the Dexia Ticket Shop project and who is delighted with the cooperation between Dexia Bank and Zetes FasTrace.

Specialised in automated management and automatic visitor identification at all types of events (festivals, concerts, exhibitions and trade fairs, etc.), Zetes FasTrace offers the organisers of these events a broad range of solutions and services via flexible and modular commercial formulae (rental, sale, hosting, services, etc.).

A large number of organisers of events and leisure parks, in Belgium and abroad, have already used these solutions and services, including on-line reservation, payment and ticketing, via Internet, secure access control as well as the follow-through and the management of visitor databases.

"With 1-2-3 Self-Ticketing, we are adding a new dimension to our offer, namely the interfacing and the direct integration of our solutions and services with the banking world and the local banking systems”, says Christian de Decker, director of Zetes FasTrace.

"This integration offers many advantages for the bank’s users and customers and for the organisers of events (additional sales channel, automated payments, etc.) but also for the bank itself: added value service for the customers, promotion of the image and services of the bank among target groups such as young people, thanks to a reliable and secure solution that can be easily interfaced with the existing IT environment”.

Already, Dexia Bank wants to extend Dexia Ticket Shop to a broader range of events, in particular cultural or sporting events, in Belgium and beyond. Similarly, hand in hand with the international organisation of the Zetes group, Zetes FasTrace is planning to sell its 1-2-3 Self-Ticketing solutions and services in other European countries, to banks and other targeted sales networks, such as the large retailers.
