Zebra’s ZM printers are RFID ready, willing and able
27 September 2007

Zebra Technologies, a global leader in on-demand printing solutions for business improvement, has launched the ZM400 and ZM600 label printer / encoders, offering a clear upgrade path for any business looking to pilot RFID technology.

The ZM400 and ZM600 are ideal for applications as diverse as shipping, compliance labelling, asset tracking, transportation and hospitality ticketing. In addition to providing print resolutions up to 600 dpi and XML-enabled printing, the ZM printers can be upgraded to full RFID functionality on the customer site. The flexibility and range of options on the ZM400 and ZM600 therefore give long-term investment protection for any business users.

With an internal Ethernet option, 802.11b/g wireless, USB 2.0 and parallel connectivity, the ZM range is equipped for use in manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, retail and other venues where high duty cycle speed and quick throughput are essential. Additionally, ZM400 and ZM600 thermal printers deliver 10-inches-per-second print speed capability and require little maintenance.

“The ZM400 and ZM600 printers offer manufacturers, retailers and distribution companies the ability to install labelling engines where they can be most effective, while ensuring they are also ready, willing and able to benefit from item-level RFID systems,” said Rod Rodericks, Managing Director EMEA, Zebra Technologies.

The Zebra ZM400/ZM600 printers are available to customers around the globe.
