Evolis Card Printer showcases its full range of innovative card printing and encoding solutions at Air & Port Security Expo Europe 2005, in Brussels, Belgium, from June 22 to 23.

Evolis Card Printer is a leading card printer manufacturer supplying innovative and powerful solutions that integrate all the required options to graphically and electronically personalize cards: bar coding, magnetic stripe, smart chip, and contactless cards.

During APS 2005, Evolis will demonstrate its full range of powerful, reliable and high technology desktop solutions aimed at enhancing security, identification and loyalty program needs in the air and sea transport industries: access control cards, employee ID badges, loyalty cards, and much more.

Air and seaports are turning to emerging technologies to improve security and operational performance within transportation environments. Among those new technologies is the RFID one, which is fast growing in the card industry, especially for access control purposes.

In markets such as transportation where magnetic cards used to provide security features, there is a growing demand for contactless cards.

Replacing magnetic cards by contactless cards will require a smooth transition of the installed base. Therefore, the interoperability of both magnetic and smart technologies will protect former investments allowing users to upgrade to high-featured cards.

Evolis decided to integrate multiple encoding configurations in its printers, hence proposing a large and unique range of personalization solutions, including printing and multi-encoding devices.

Eirik Bakke, Evolis Sales Director EMEA & Asia comments “Evolis designed combined powerful encoding solutions aimed at supporting a smooth migration path and allow ‘all-in-one’ card issuance with magnetic stripe, contact smart chip, and proximity chip personalisation capabilities in the same printer”.

The Evolis card printing and encoding solutions will be viewed on stand #D62.
