BlueStar distributes the LXE MX7CS
March 28, 2008

BlueStar, solutions-based distribution for Auto ID, Point-of-Sale, Mobility and RFID products, has announced its distribution of the LXE MX7CS hand-held computer for cold storage.

The MX7CS adds to LXE’s line of mobile computers for cold storage logistics supporting real-time data communications, bar code scanning, and voice/speech recognition. It addresses the problems that make it impossible to use standard hand-held computers in cold storage environments.  Built-in heaters eliminate both fogging and frosting, a specialized battery promotes free-flowing power, and a highly-effective conformal coating technique protects the unit against the effects of condensation.

“The MX7CS fills a critical need in the cold storage market for a rugged hand-held data-collection device that’s small and lightweight,” says Doug Brown, LXE’s Director of Product Management.  “LXE has a deep understanding of the cold storage business, based on extensive experience in delivering application-specific solutions. The MX7CS is the culmination of all the customer feedback and lessons we’ve learned during that experience.”

This new product is the lightest, most ergonomic hand-held computer for cold storage applications. The LXE MX7CS is designed for full-shift, scan-intensive use and weighs less than 21 oz including handle and battery. The product scans 1D and 2D bar codes in Standard Range and Lorax All-Range.

“As the need for enhanced cold storage solutions increases, the addition of the MX7CS to our mobile computing offerings lets BlueStar present the widest line-up of solutions to our AIDC customers,” says Greg Seelbach, BlueStar Director of Market Development.
