BELGRAVIUM AND VOXWARE ANNOUNCE PARTNERSHIP TO EXPAND VOICE-DRIVEN LOGISTICS SOLUTIONS
19 May 2006

Voxware, Inc.a leading supplier of voice-driven logistics solutions, and Belgravium Ltd. (LSE: BVM), a leading manufacturer of rugged mobile computers, have announced that Belgravium Atlanta 8000 Series handheld wireless computers have been certified to run Voxware’s VoiceXML Browser, VoxBrowser.

“There has been increasing demand amongst both Belgravium partners and customers for voice-driven solutions,” stated Mark Hardy, Managing Director of Belgravium. “Belgravium is keen to satisfy that customer need and has deliberately opted for the Voxware solution because of its open systems architecture and industry-leading speech recognition capabilities. Voxware’s VoxBrowser, a standards-based software solution, offers our clients a superior development platform for voice applications that will run on our Atlanta Series. The voice solution can be integrated with any warehouse management or ERP software package.”

Voice-based solutions significantly reduce cost in the warehouse by enabling workers to perform a wide array of logistics tasks – such as picking, receiving, put-away, replenishment, and loading – in a more efficient hands-free, heads-up manner and with greater accuracy. With VoxBrowser, Belgravium can offer voice solutions based on a fully-featured Atlanta Series mobile terminal, allowing end users to combine voice-enabled activities with traditional barcode and RFID scanning methods, enhancing value and lowering total cost of ownership.

Voxware CEO Tom Drury said, “We are delighted that Belgravium has certified our VoxBrowser software on Belgravium’s Atlanta Series computers. Voxware has proven the value of voice in enhancing logistics operations. Together with Belgravium, a company with a solid logistics and warehousing customer base across Europe, we can help grow the market for voice-driven warehouse applications.”

Drury continued, “We are now pursuing our strategy of revolutionizing the delivery of voice solutions by offering software, including VoxBrowser, directly to logistics solutions providers to enable them to extend the value of voice to a wider variety of devices and applications. Belgravium, with several decades of implementing innovative wireless warehousing solutions, was a natural partnership to help us fulfill our strategic vision. Our partnership with Belgravium will expand the depth and breadth of voice-driven logistics solutions available to logistics professionals today, which in turn will lower total cost of ownership and increase return on investment. ”

VoxBrowser software for the Atlanta Series has been tested in both the Voxware and Belgravium development laboratories to ensure complete interoperability. Deliverable solutions are available with immediate effect. Belgravium is currently evaluating the extension of voice recognition capability to other units within its mobile computing range.
