The microsite, which can be found at www.scansourcehealthcare.eu, provides a portal where resellers can access information relating to this important vertical.

A window into the many solutions on offer, the microsite features different hospital applications, relevant products and ready-to-sell bundles. It also includes an extensive archive of reference material, from industry white papers to the latest healthcare news, regulations and videos.

“Healthcare is a vertical where access to information is critical,” said Bert Fonderie, Vice President of Merchandising, ScanSource Europe. “There are a whole host of regulations that resellers need to be aware of and these can only be found by spending considerable effort searching across a multitude of different websites.”

“What we’ve done is collect all the relevant material into one convenient, centralised location, with the aim of making it easier for resellers to find out everything they need to know about working in the healthcare vertical.”

All the different hospital applications where auto ID products are currently used are featured in an easy-to-use interactive hospital cross-section. Resellers can click through the different applications to discover the opportunities for their business: hardware, software and white papers are highlighted for each application, making it easy to see where the potential lies.

To enable resellers to easily offer solutions for healthcare, the microsite features information on the products at the centre of these applications, with pictures, part numbers and spec sheets. ScanSource is also offering complete solutions by bundling products for specific applications, as well as running regular promotions on bundles.

“The site is also aimed at resellers who are not currently selling into healthcare,” said Fonderie. “There are a lot of opportunities in healthcare; our role is to help resellers move into a position where, through a combination of knowledge and support, they can take advantage of those opportunities and grow their business.”

“In this portal, resellers can quickly locate the information they need to make purchasing decisions straightforward,” said Fonderie. “For example, when looking up the correct printer for wristband tagging for a hospital admittance and patient ID application, the printer is shown alongside the various complementary products – mobile computers, scanners and software – with which to bundle it in order to complete the application solution.”
