EXPERTS IN MOBILE CONNECTIVITY SET THEIR SIGHTS ON ENTERPRISE LAPTOPS

Although new mobile devices have grown in popularity, laptop connectivity remains a key issue for serious enterprise users.

Cutting the Wires, a leading mobile solutions provider, has announced plans that will allow enterprise IT directors to regain control over their mobile workforce, whilst providing remote and mobile workers with secure and easy access to the corporate data that they really need.  With the benefit of its extensive experience in the IT, software, telecommunications and financial services sectors, the firm has unveiled plans for streamlining the way in which mobile workers use their laptops to access enterprise data.

Through strategic relationships with hardware and application providers, Cutting the Wires seamlessly extends mobility to the enterprise in order to attain specific customer business goals. The company creates repeatable, secure, and completely supported mobile solutions that can be delivered globally. The company leverages innovation and expertise in client devices to provide access to information anytime and anywhere.

"Cutting the Wires allows businesses to harness the real power of mobile computing by supplying robust enterprise software solutions that let mobile workers connect back to the network with one common interface," says André Axford, CEO, Cutting the Wires Ltd.   "With the right connectivity solutions in place, enterprise users can access business-critical data easily and securely and the enterprise can benefit from unprecedented control over both security and costs."

Remote access to corporate networks (either through fixed-line direct dial or over the public IP networks) is a way of life for business users, but the launch of GPRS and 3G networks by a number of mobile operators and the proliferation of WiFi hotspots has made the issue of managing connectivity & containing related costs even more complex. As a result, Cutting the Wires has launched Zafari Mobile(tm),  a unique software platform for the mobile user that provides a consistent and simple user experience while managing connectivity across all mediums:  GSM, GPRS, EDGE, CDMA, WCDMA, UMTS, WiFi, 3G, wireless LANs, Ethernet, dial-up, and DSL. The solution is cross?platform and hardware agnostic.

Most enterprises today use a network aggregator such as iPass or Equant to manage and  fulfill the global access requirements of its mobile workforce. Zafari Mobile uniquely offers integrated support of multiple access databases to allow a user to search for the nearest and most appropriate transport medium to connect back to the corporate network.  Specific Business logic rules can then be incorporated and applied to guide the user to select the least-cost connection.

Cutting the Wires remains committed to developing and delivering end-to-end solutions that provide a clear, reliable strategy for mobilising data within the organisation. Its Zafari Mobile(tm) product uses a fully customisable graphical user interface (GUI) to provide secure, seamless connectivity to the business-critical applications residing on the corporate network.  The company offers services to integrate the enterprise's own secure data solutions into Zafari Mobile working closely with the enterprise IT personnel.

In addition to its Zafari Mobile solution, Cutting the Wires offers a range of additional services focused on expanding, extending and delivering mobile data services, including project assignments, product development, as well as business and channel development.  The company can provide mobile solutions and services to a wide range of carriers, distributors, manufacturers and corporate enterprises that want to maximise the potential of mobile data.
