Version One and Defacto solutions collaborate to benefit Sage users
 April 24, 2008

Accredited Sage Enterprise software developer, Defacto Solutions, has formed a strategic partnership with award-winning document management and imaging author Version One to fulfil the increasing demand from Sage Line 500 and Sage 1000 users for document management functionality.

Version One’s solutions enable the electronic creation, storage, retrieval, management, delivery and authorisation of business documents such as invoices, purchase orders and statements,.

Defacto provides robust solutions which extend the functionality of Sage Line 500 and Sage 1000. This partnership sees the adoption of Version One’s enhanced barcode printing system, DbForm, which produces barcode labels and barcoded documents for use with Defacto’s latest product, DefCapture. DefCapture provides barcoded data entry of a wide range of transactions within the Sage environment, including goods receipting, bin-to-bin transfers, stocktaking, order picking and despatch confirmation.

With Version One’s DbForm used in conjunction with DefCapture, Sage customers using DefCapture are able to capture data more quickly and accurately, improving efficiency whilst significantly reducing costs.

Alec Willis, Managing Director of Defacto Solutions, says, “We are very excited to form this partnership with Version One and can now provide our customers with best-of-breed solutions that are tightly integrated into Sage Line 500 and Sage 1000. Using Version One’s DbForm software alongside our DefCapture system, enables us to provide Sage users with high quality barcoded data capture.”

Willis adds, “We have been so impressed with Version One’s systems that we’re currently integrating Version One’s document storage system, DbArchive, into our Quality Management System and Supplier Portal.”

Lynne Munns, General Manager of Version One, comments, “We are very pleased to join forces with Defacto and add considerable value to Sage Line 500 and Sage 1000. Due to the global demand for our integrated document management and imaging systems, we are always looking to partner with additional Sage developers and re-sellers. Our solutions are extremely functional, integrate tightly into Sage and provide end-users with considerable cost and efficiency savings as well as a typical return on investment of six months or less.”
