DocuWare certifies Kodak Scan Station 100

The Kodak Scan Station 100 document scanners allow seamless integration with the DocuWare 5 document management system. This integrated solution will give enterprises a huge productivity boost.

Automatic integration of paper-based information with electronic processes is becoming an increasingly important aspect of running a business. With just a push of a button, you can now digitize paper documents using the Kodak Scan Station 100, archive them in the central DocuWare document pool and dispatch them, for example, to a particular folder on the network. Digitized documents can be stored in JPG, TIF or PDF, independent of their original format or, if they exist in color, black and white or as grayscale images.

DocuWare monitors the folders on the network and distributes stored documents automatically to virtual Inbox folders of individual workstations where authorized users can use the documents within their workflow.

The Kodak Scan Station 100 has a movable full color touch-screen with color display and offers intuitive and interactive operational features. Image preview and correction features are built into the device. Moreover, users have the option of personalizing the device settings, to fit their own working habits and requirements. By certifying the Kodak Scan Station 100, DMS specialist DocuWare has confirmed to Kodak that the document scanners can be seamlessly integrated with DocuWare 5.

Hauke Fast, Kodak Document Imaging Product Marketing Manager, welcomes this cooperation: "The DocuWare systems, just like our network-compatible Kodak Scan Station 100, are characterized by simple operation and an excellent price-performance ratio. They allow workflow automation and this means that the integrated solution provides remarkable added value for medium-sized companies".

"We are delighted with this partnership, particularly because the Kodak name has always stood for total reliability", says DocuWare's Jürgen Biffar. "Our DMS in conjunction with the Kodak Scan Station 100 does away with expensive paper-based workflows. By automating routine tasks, this winning combination will increase productivity in all company departments".
