Canon UK, a leader in digital imaging technology, has announced that it has been selected by OGCbuying.solutions, to join a list of eight accredited suppliers to the public sector.

The agreement will enable Canon to supply its range of multifunctional printers (MFPs) and print management solutions to a range of public sector organisations including local and central government, health sector, education, emergency services and defence.

OGCbuying.solutions’ framework agreements are designed to provide public sector bodies with access to accredited suppliers, therefore minimising the time and resources taken up in often lengthy procurement processes.

“The OGCbuying.solutions framework agreement is the premier contract in the public sector and this renewal is important to Canon’s ongoing strategy in this sector,” comments Andy Vickers, Managing Director, Canon UK. “More public sector organisations are realising the key advantages of working with a partner such as Canon, which can help reduce print costs whilst improving organisational efficiency. With the Government also keen to introduce green policies and promote sustainability, one of the key criteria for this contract award was the ability to reduce the environmental impact of print, which is an area that Canon excels in.”
