TOSHIBA TEC's print system now Certified for SAP NetWeaver
February 12, 2008

TOSHIBA TEC Corporation, a leading Retail and Auto ID solutions provider, has announced that its Print System for XML B002 has been certified as achieving SAP NetWeaver® status.

This confirms that the print system successfully integrates with TOSHIBA TEC's B-SX4 and B-SX5 industrial printers, allowing users to optimize their data communications capabilities in Auto ID environments.

The SAP NetWeaver® platform enables customers to align IT with their business requirements. By combining composition technologies and functionality it reduces IT complexity and increases flexibility, allowing users to deliver applications and content quickly and cost effectively.

In addition, TOSHIBA TEC has included universal XML support for its SX-4 and SX-5 industrial printers. This tool allows the SX-4 and SX-5 printers to be configured to run directly from warehouse management systems provided by companies that offer enterprise resource planning solutions, such as SAP AG.

Middleware solutions in industrial ERP programs are already widely in use through TOSHIBA TEC VARs and system integrators in Europe.

"We are delighted to have achieved certification for SAP NetWeaver® status for Print System for XML. The ability of Print System XML to leverage the business potential of assets provided by solutions from SAP and other vendors will prove highly beneficial to current and future customer engagements," said Mike Keane, Manager, Auto ID Division of TOSHIBA TEC Europe.
