Brother gives channel partners easy online access to bespoke marketing material
November 25, 2009

Brother is offering its reseller partners the chance to order and personalise marketing materials online before having them delivered. In a first for the company, partners can now not only use the internet to select the marketing toolkit most appropriate to their customer base, but add in their own details online before having them printed professionally.  The personalised material is then delivered within five days.

The online facility has been launched to coincide with Brother’s latest quarterly campaign – Colourful Christmas Bonus, which has been designed to support resellers in the run up to the festive period.

As part of the campaign, end users can choose between up to a £100 cashback offer or free three year warranty on a variety of colour laser printers and AIOs.  The three year warranty offer is expected to be particularly popular with public sector customers, who have difficulties accessing cashback.

Partners can choose from a variety of marketing materials, including leaflets, e-shots and web banners for mono-laser, education, healthcare, fax, labelling and, of course, the big colour cashback promotion.  They can also earn points on Brother’s Sell and Select scheme which can be used to buy Christmas presents for family and friends or to treat themselves.

Terry Caulfield, General Manager, printing solutions, Brother UK commented: “We’ve been offering personalised materials for a while and had some great feedback, but this is the first time we’ve made the service fully digital.  This gives our partners instant access to a service that would normally be very expensive, allowing them not only to choose the most appropriate materials for their customers but add the professional touch of having them printed specifically for their business. The fast delivery means new marketing campaigns can be implemented quickly and effectively.

“We know there’s no such thing as a one size fits all solution – especially when you work with as broad a spectrum of partners as Brother does. Different incentives and marketing materials will be more effective for different end users and market places and, with this latest marketing toolkit, we’ve tried to make sure there’s something for everyone. The bespoke approach is something that’s really worked for us and our partners and it’s something we intend to continue and expand in this online medium.”
