StorMagic expands its outreach in Europe with new pan-European channel partnership
July 01, 2008

StorMagic, a fast-growing developer of iSCSI SAN management software,  has partnered with leading European storage reseller transtec AG in a move that will see the company strengthen its outreach to end users in the UK, France, Belgium, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Austria, and Germany, where transtec’s headquarters are. According to the agreement, transtec will carry StorMagic’s entire line of products effective immediately.

“As a company that has grown significantly this past year and has to be able to successfully manage this progress, StorMagic needs to partner with system integrators who understand our unique value proposition, and, more importantly, how we address our customers’ pain points ,” said Hans O’Sullivan, CEO of StorMagic. “Transtec was appealing to us, because of its extensive local market knowledge and experience working with fast-growing vendors. I am confident that by working together, we will increase StorMagic’s presence in central Europe, where the need for solutions that meet the unique storage requirements of small and medium organisations is significant.”

By adding StorMagic’s solutions to its product portfolio, transtec will be able to address the rapid growth opportunity for iSCSI-based SAN solutions in the small to medium business marketplace. StorMagic’s SM Series allows these organizations to leverage enterprise-level functionality without the complexity traditionally associated with this class of products.

“In the past couple of years, SMBs have seen the demand for data storage grow at a dramatic rate, and, as a result, they have typically bought more and more capacity as their needs increased; now they are asking for solutions that allow them to easily and cost-effectively manage this storage. StorMagic is the ideal solution to this issue,” said Ertu Uysal, CEO of transtec AG. “Each European market presents a different set of challenges, and we are looking forward to meeting them with our enhanced product range.”
