Burstek Launches bt-Partners’ “Get More” Program
09 February 2007

Burstek, a leading developer of Internet security software for global enterprises, announced today their new channel sales partner program, bt-Partners.

Developed specifically to address a growing need for simplicity and more value to channel sales and their clients, the program focuses on delivering more product and services for the dollar for the end user and generous profit margins for the channel partner.

“We realize that channel sales professionals have choices in the Internet security software they offer,” commented Burstek channel partner manager, Joe DiCioccio. “It’s easy to gravitate toward a big brand name first. But the climate has changed and big brand pricing is making it unaffordable for many organizations. That’s where we come in. Our software was designed to do what the bigger brands do and then some, at a far better price. So we offer more software and service for the money, and for our partners, that equates to more new sales and repeat business.”

Burstek’s Web security suite, bt-Enterprise is comprised of bt-WebFilter, enterprise Web filtering and blocking, bt-LogAnalyzer which provides feature-rich activity reporting, and bt-MailFilter, Burstek’s anti-spam and anti-virus email defense designed specifically for corporate Microsoft Exchange servers. The software features remote management, active directory integration, replication real-time monitoring, quota management and flexible management policies for customizing Web access and content by user, categories, department, or business unit.

Designed for the Windows environment from the ground up, bt-Enterprise is fast becoming the choice for organizations large and small, world-wide. According to DiCioccio, big brands may seem affordable on the surface until you add on all the “extras” that make them worthwhile. Unlike its bigger brand competitors,  Burstek comes with a host of no cost features:  Premium 24/7 technical support from Burstek’s US headquarters, free high risk URL categories (like spyware, malicious code, Web mail, streaming media, etc.), free keyword filtering, and free product upgrades and updates. The software is easy to install and administer, and unlike many other products, requires no extra plug-ins to operate, no special agents or software for automatic replication across multiple servers or locations, and no extra consoles or hardware to manage an entire enterprise. There are also no extra fees for added servers or locations.

“This is serious software,” says DiCioccio, “that is highly compatible in many environments and very scalable. It can be sold as a suite or individually, which affords our partners even more flexibility and sales advantages.”

According to DiCioccio, the bt-Partner program also offers channel partners attractive incentives, including lead referrals and renewal protection, as well as some of the most generous margins in the industry. Another hallmark is the flexibility of their commitment levels, which make the program what DiCioccio calls, “ETDBW: Easy To Do Business With.”

Burstek’s bt-Partner training program provides accreditation for two levels: BCISA: Burstek Certified Internet Security Advisor, and BCISE, Burstek Certified Internet Security Engineer.
