MICROLISE APPOINTED AS UK RESELLER FOR TOMTOM WORK
22 May 2006

Microlise are pleased to announce their appointment by TomTom NV as UK reseller for their latest product, TomTom WORK -  a new product and services offering that provides business users with an 'out of the box'  integrated solution for navigation, communications, job management and tracking for their mobile workforce.

TomTom WORK's 'Connected Navigation' solution combines TomTom's industry leading TomTom GO navigation technology with 'black-box' tracking technology which communicates with a hosted, web based, software suite - WEBFLEET.

TomTom WORK is made up of 3 elements :

TomTom GO 510, GO 710 and GO 910 - the award winning, market leading, in-vehicle GPS navigation system

TomTom LINK - the additional in-vehicle hardware which connects TomTom GO with TomTom WEBFLEET using GPRS communications and also provides GPS based tracking & telematic functions

TomTom WEBFLEET - an easy to use, real-time, web based service and reporting tool allowing the business to view maps of their vehicle locations, communicate with drivers and remotely allocate tasks and jobs to the driver.

Microlise already have extensive experience in the development and delivery of mobile supply chain and logistics execution systems to blue chip clients in Europe, Australia and the USA through our Fleet & Distribution portfolio of solutions.

TomTom WORK complements and extends this capability. It allows Microlise to offer a simplified "out of the box" solution to clients in the transport, logistics or other vertical markets where their operational requirements and fleet size are more suited to this approach.

Where the core functionality of TomTom WORK does not meet the full requirements of an operation, Microlise will offer added value modules derived from our larger Microlise Fleet & Distribution application portfolio. These include Job / Order management, Activity planning, Routing & Scheduling, Drivers Hours, & Working Time Directive Management modules, as well as the integration of TomTom WORK with existing business IT systems - to enable tasks & addresses to be sent to mobile workers from exsiting CRM / ERP tools.

Microlise will offer TomTom WORK as both a capital purchase, with 2 year hosting and air-time charges included, or on a 3 year lease basis.

Peter van der Vlis, TomTom WORK's International Sales Director stated, "By connecting owners of fleets of all sizes with their drivers, TomTom WORK will help save time and costs. Additionally it will bring clarity and transparency to businesses and their customers, as well as making the lives of vehicle drivers easier and safer. We are very pleased to have joined up with a company with the experience and systems integration skills of Microlise as a UK reseller. They can provide significant added value and support to ensure clients obtain the maximum business value from our TomTom WORK product"

For Microlise, Matt Hague, Product Director commented, "We are very excited to be appointed by TomTom as part of the TomTom WORK reseller network in Europe. As market leaders in the consumer vehicle navigation market, TomTom's entry into the business to business market with TomTom WORK is a welcome development for companies who may not necessarily require the scope of Microlise's Fleet & Distribution Logistics execution portfolio, but do have the need for the simplicity and power of TomTom GO Satellite Navigation, complimented by messaging, job management and tracking."

He added, "TomTom WORK's product compliments perfectly with our existing Logistic's orientated mobile data offerings and crucially for Microlise will also allow us to expand into new non-logistics market sectors at all levels."
