Mitsubishi introduces cost effective ultra bright, ultra light XD470U Projector
25 June 2007

Mitsubishi Electric’s Visual Information Systems, a leading manufacturer of high quality display solutions has introduced the new XD470U projector to complement its comprehensive fully featured range.

Using the latest Digital Light Processing technology from Texas Instruments,  the XD470U is an ultra portable XGA projector that is tailored to meet the needs of both the IT and corporate sector alike.

The XD470U provides 3000 ANSI lumens of brightness for crystal clear presentations within a host of applications where natural light may have traditionally been an issue. Fully featured, the instant shut-down function allows users to quickly power down the projector after a presentation without causing damage to the projector or lamp. In addition, the filter-free design makes it resistant to dust and dirt particles which help ensure consistently high image quality as well as helping to keep ownership costs low.

High quality, detailed images are reproduced for both video and PC viewing thanks to a 2000:1 contrast ratio and the use of the latest DLP™ technology.

The XD470U can be ceiling mounted or used as a portable tabletop solution and comes equipped with a number of security solutions. These include a security hook and a password lock function to help prevent theft in high risk locations.

Alistair Duthie, Divisional Manager said “The XD470U is an ideal solution for professional use in business and educational establishments. The instant shutdown function benefits presenters allowing them to continue with their working day. The XD470U is the latest in a long line of high quality, high performing DLP™ projectors from Mitsubishi.”

Lightweight at just 2.8kg, the XD470U can be moved from room to room easily and the digital keystone correction feature prevents optical distortions, even in situations when the projector cannot be positioned in front of the screen directly. This new projector also comes equipped with two PC inputs and a monitor loop-through for display flexibility, as well as RS232 controls for easy integration into third party systems.

Pricing and Warranty:

The XD470U is now available from stock with a suggested retail price of £713 plus VAT. As with all Mitsubishi business projectors the XD470U comes with a three-year loan replacement warranty.
